The 5th annual National Jockeys Trust Golf Day in South Australia, will be held at Glenelg Golf Course on Monday 20 November 2017.

Melbourne Cup winning jockey and RadioTAB personality John Letts will host the day.

Attendees will be treated to an exciting day of golf with Jockeys and other members of the SA racing industry.

Teams still available for purchase from – all proceeds go to the National Jockeys Trust!

Introducing the National Jockey’s Trust
Bravery, dedication, passion… these qualities are key in the world of racing, where every time a jockey climbs onto the back of a horse they are putting their life on the line in order to compete.

Yet sadly, even the finest Australian jockeys can suffer from serious injuries. Injuries that despite the protection of accident insurance can plunge jockeys and their families into financial hardship.

Luckily, The National Jockeys Trust can help…

We are a public charitable trust who is dedicated to providing funds and other benefits for the relief of financial difficulties for jockeys, apprentice jockeys and their families, when faced with serious injury, illness and even death.

Since 2004 we have helped more than 270 jockeys and their families to escape financial hardship, and we can help you too to protect your family where accident insurance cannot.
Who are The National Jockeys Trust?
887 riders have lost their lives since the creation of Australian racing, and whilst accident insurance is an essential part of racing, it cannot always provide the protection jockeys need.

Fortunately, this no longer has to be the case…

Endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as an income tax exempt charity and as a deductible gift recipient, we are registered by the charitable organisations licensing agencies in all 8 States and Territories, meaning should illness, serious injury or sadly death of a jockey befall their families, we can provide them with the funding to remain financially secure.

Yet we need your help…

Whilst all of our Grants of financial assistance are strictly governed by the Trust’s Deed, we face a real challenge in raising the funds needed to make a real meaningful difference to those who qualify under the NJT’s charter. Funds that can mean the difference between financial struggle and stability.

Houstonian Shannon Fish Announces Hurricane Harvey Fundraising Effort at
Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge

Symetra Tour and local tournament committee will match donation to help those in need
SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA, August 29, 2017 – Symetra Tour professional Shannon Fish, a Houston native, announced on Monday night that she is fundraising to help Hurricane Harvey relief and recovery efforts. She is donating $100 per birdie and $500 per eagle she makes at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge to Team Rubicon, an organization of experienced military veterans on the front line of the emergency response efforts. The Symetra Tour and the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge tournament committee have decided to match the donation that Fish makes.

The Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge will begin on Thursday, August 31 and continue through Sunday, September 3. “I’m proud of Texans and Houstonians coming together in such a time of devastation to help their neighbors in need,” said Fish, who played amateur golf and college golf in the state. “We will rebuild and recover stronger than ever. My prayers this week and going forward will be with my hometown, its residents, first responders, volunteers and folks coming from all around for their strength and safety.”

There are five players in the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge that call Houston home: Raegan Bremer, Shannon Fish, Jayde Panos, Chirapat Jao-Javanil and Portland Rosen.
“We simply wanted to show our support for our Symetra Tour professionals that call that area home,” said Chief Business Officer Mike Nichols. “The Tour travels all over the country for eight months out of the year and we consider the players an extended part of our LPGA family. We applaud Shannon for using her platform to help in a time of great need.”
Fish has played on Tour since 2012 and has seven career top 10 finishes.
